How old do you have to be to buy/sell domain names?

- in the US you have to be 18 before you ever actually own anything other wise its considered your guardians. With their permission you can do it at any age but keep in mind the government always wants their cut.

- I don't think there's any restriction, unless your service provider has their own policy, other than the fact that you will be entering into a legal contract, so the age at which you are legally allowed to do this will depend on where you live. In practice if you want a domain name for your own use this won't really matter, but if you want to buy a domain name because you intend to sell it or use it for commercial purposes it would be better to be sure that you are covered by the laws of your country/state, in case there was ever a legal dispute. EDIT: Just saw that you're in the UK. In that case I think (but am not 100% sure) that you are entitled to enter into domain name contracts. If this is important it might be worth checking with a solicitor. The age at which there are no restrictions is 18.
