whats a good website to buy domain names?

If you own a web site where did you buy the web site? And what did you get within the purchase, domain name and website or did you have to pay seperatly for both?

  1. I use godaddy.com Here is a coupon code I used two days ago. Saved $2 per url cjcdeal32 I hope that helps Good Luck RD
  2. buy your domain at godaddy.com (less expensive) then transfer the hosting to hostgator.com (free transfer)
  3. I also used godaddy. I got free e-mail and free hosting with website tonight. BUT I really don't like website tonight. You are so limited to everything! If you do decide to go with godaddy I suggest to get hosting by wordpress. Try going to google and type in enter promo code for godadd in the search box. You can save a few dollars that way. Good luck -ER
  4. Most hosts offer a free domain name with hosting. I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/ Powweb has the best offer right now. It's on a 50% sale - $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them. (like www.yourwebsite.com) Their hosting plan includes web builder, so you can create your site just by drag and drop (without any programming), or you could install Wordpress (easy, one click install from their control panel), choose a theme that you like, and start adding content.
  5. You can register your domain names with DomainPurpose.com
  6. GoDaddy because of frequent coupon codes this ones for a 7.49 cent domain http://www.tkqlhce.com/nj121ar-xrzEIHMKJHLEGFINNILG sorry about the crazy code, its the link i had saved from when i signedup Hostgator if you plan on buying hosting too http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=sunforged I buy a lot of domains off of ebay I usually get a 7.50 domain from GoDaddy then point it at a subdomain in my unlimited hosting plan from Hostgator Its usually a good idea to spread your internet real estate around a little, especially when you build a big portfolio
  7. I have always used GoDaddy. They normally charge 9.99 for a .com domain name but if you use this special link, you can get them for 6.99: http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/compare/gdcompare_domain.asp?isc=goaz3005o I got this link from a domain buyers e-book that I purchased and have been using it ever since when buying my domains. I just checked it out and it is still good for the $2 discount. With the purchase, you get only the domain name. One cool thing with GoDadday is you can purchase their shared hosting account. It is around $80 a year but you can host as many domain names as you want under that account (no limit). I am currently hosting about 10 domain names and the price is always the same. It saves a lot of money..if you do the individual hosting, you have to pay to host each domain and it costs $4 per month. I have been purchasing domain names and hosting all on GoDaddy for some time. Probably your best, cheapest bet.
