I would like to know what rights I have. lets say their is a company named www.findusedparts.com and it is a part locator service and lets say I wanted to start a part locator service and I registered the name www.findusedcarparts.com. can that company stop me from using that domain by claiming it is to similar? Can I point two domain names to the same DNS name server? I have 2 domain names that I want to point to the same web host. I have 1 of them pointed to the DNS name server and it is working. The other is pointed to the same DNS name server but it gives me a 404 error: The page cannot be found. It's been over 12 hours since I set the DNS name server on that domain name. It seems like this should work. Does something about the Internet (or maybe my web host) not allow this?

Minimum length on domain names? I occasionally browse AL.com to catch up on news out of Alabama, where I lived for several years. Out of curiosity, I went to GoDaddy.com to see who owned AL.net and .org, but when I typed in AL.net, I got the message "AL.NET is an invalid domain name. Minimum length error." Has there been some kind of restriction passed on two-letter domain names? It doesn't seem so, since AL.com is apparently online. I also tried AL.net on networksolutions.com and got the message "Please enter a valid domain name composed of three or more characters." What's the deal? Surreal World, I'm referring to the fact that it doesn't appear that two-letter domain names are allowed for registration. What I'd like to know is why, and when this policy was apparently implemented. Colinc, I'm getting the same message on both .com and .net, so both registrars must have the policy.
